High Protein Waffles
Servings per batch: 6
Serving size: 2 waffles (about 4-inches in diameter)
Ingredients:
- ¾ cup rolled oats (ground in food processor)
- 3 scoops Dymatize Gourmet Elite Protein Powder
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp unsweetened applesauce
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 6 egg whites (whipped)
Instructions:
- Combine ground rolled oats, protein powder, baking powder and baking soda in a large bowl. (To avoid clumps, use sifter for baking powder and baking soda if necessary.)
- In a separate bowl, combine unsweetened applesauce and cooking oil.
- Combine ingredients in both bowls (dry and liquids) into one bowl. When thoroughly mixed, fold in egg whites.
- Pour batter on to waffle iron plate and close. Be careful not to overfill, as waffles have a tendency to expand.
- Waffles are ready to eat when the top is golden brown!
- Top with all natural peanut butter, almond butter, or sugar-free syrup.
